From Heatwaves to Glowing Reviews: Our Pawsome Week in Review!

Hello, wonderful pet parents and friends of furry companions!

It’s been another eventful and busy week here, and I’m thrilled to share all the highlights with you. From sun-kissed walks to a bit of a car window drama, let’s dive into the tales of tails wagging and adventures unfolding!

Poppy and Layla’s Delightful Farewell

We had the pleasure of taking care of the adorable Poppy and Layla this past week. Their stay came to an end, but not without leaving a memorable impression. We received a glowing review from their lovely owners,

"Good evening, We would like to thank you all for looking after Poppy and Layla and the house so brilliantly while we were away. It was important for us to visit our family this year as John’s elderly Aunt was looking unwell in the winter, we were delighted to see her looking so much better and at 93 enjoying her walks around her village to talk to her friends. We also kept in touch with the younger members of the family which is also very important. We could not have had such a relaxing time if our dogs had not been having such a good time too."

We’re so grateful to have provided peace of mind and a great time for these two sweet pups!

Keeping Cool in the Heatwave

With the sun blazing down, our team has been on high alert to ensure every doggo stays cool and comfy. Here’s what we’ve been up to:

  • Plenty of Water: We made sure to carry extra water on our walks and had bowls at the ready when we got back.

  • Cooling Mats and Coats: These lifesavers were out and ready for our furry friends to chill on.

  • Limited Off-Lead Time: To avoid too much running in the heat, we kept off-lead time short and sweet.

  • Shaded Walks: We chose cooler, shaded routes for our walks, ensuring comfort overexertion.

Back at home, it’s been all about topping up water and giving lots of indoor cuddles. The dogs are loving the extra snuggle time!

Social Paws Adventures

This week’s social paws outing took us to the charming town of Shipston. The group practiced off-lead recall, perfect on-lead walking through town, and some top-notch social etiquette in shops. It’s wonderful to see the skills they’ve learned at Hampton Lucy being reinforced in new and exciting environments. Keep it up, pups!

A Smash and a Fix: Friday's Drama

Friday brought a bit of chaos with Jodi’s driver’s window getting smashed. Yikes! But, our incredible team rallied together to shuffle walks and ensure every dog still had their scheduled outing. A huge thank you to everyone for their swift response and teamwork!

Weekend Warriors

Gemma, Jodi, Caleb, and Jamie worked tirelessly over the weekend. Highlights include:

  • Leon and Louis: They enjoyed a day trip to Stratford-upon-Avon and had a blast with a fantastic afternoon walk.

  • Mavis: We welcomed the lovely Mavis for an overnight stay. We ensured her walks were fun and her temporary home spotless, earning another glowing review from her owners.

  • Caleb’s Live-In with Felix and Walter: Caleb hit the ground running with these two adorable Labrador brothers, planning plenty of walks and adventures.

  • Jamie’s Daycare Adventure: Jamie took Walnut and his own dog Arora for a delightful daycare session, complete with lots of exploring and play.

Jodi took some new pups on a hiking adventure using the AllTrails app for safety and easy navigation. First-timers Coco and Louis, along with seasoned adventurers Barley and Walnut, had a fantastic time exploring new trails.

Another Live-In Kicks Off!

We started another live-in with Stan, so be sure to follow our social media for updates on his adventures over the next week. We’ve got plenty of fun and excitement planned!

Stay tuned for more updates next week where we’ll be sharing about our weekend hike, sports day, and small animal live-in adventures. Until then, keep those tails wagging!

Enjoy the summer sunshine over the coming week
